As a key member of our Front Office team, the Overnight Bell Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring the satisfaction and comfort of our hotel guests. Under the supervision of the Front Office Manager/Rooms Manager, this position provides porter and valet services to guests, responding promptly and courteously to their requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain the lobby areas and entrances to present a clean and attractive facility to our customers.
  • Assist other employees and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
  • Provide exceptional service to arriving guests by assisting with luggage and offering to park their vehicle, providing a claim ticket.
  • Assist departing guests by transporting luggage from the room to the lobby and helping them load their vehicle.
  • Respond to guest needs by delivering items such as laundry, newspapers, iron, and ironing board, and additional linens in person.
  • Respond to inquiries and promote our hotel's services by explaining products and services, and providing up-to-date hotel information to enhance customer relations.
  • Stay informed about local activities and establishments to answer questions, recommend, and provide directions.
  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times, not only with guests and teammates but also with passersby, as their first impression of the hotel will be the people standing outside.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to drive vehicles with manual (stick shift) and automatic transmissions.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Responsible, dependable, and punctual.
  • Tactful, courteous, and discreet.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to speak and understand English.
  • Clean and professional appearance.
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm for all things 21c.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be comfortable in various vehicle types and willing to train on manual transmissions to achieve proficiency within the first 90 days.

Education/Formal Training:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Must have at least two years of driving experience with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to operate two and four-wheeled luggage carts and standard office equipment.
  • Must be able to lift luggage up to 70 lbs.
  • Capable of prolonged standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
  • Intermittent exposure to outside elements, but primarily an indoor position.
