Position Title: Residential Counselor

Supervisor: Residential Coordinator

Employment Status: Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Midweek and Weekend Shifts Available

Position Overview: As a Residential Counselor, you will collaborate closely with the Residential Coordinator to support individuals living in cluster homes, facilitating their personal development and fostering community engagement as specified in their support plans. Your role will be crucial in delivering quality care and working alongside community partners to improve the quality of life for participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in supervision sessions to maintain a safe and nurturing environment for all residents
  • Ensure compliance with program policies and state regulations while maintaining necessary certifications
  • Contribute to the upkeep of a clean and secure living environment for participants
  • Assist residents with daily activities, including documentation and medication management
  • Advocate for the needs and preferences of participants in accordance with their Individual Support Plan
  • Build meaningful relationships and encourage residents to participate in community activities

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for candidates holding a Bachelor's degree or relevant experience. Essential skills include strong communication abilities, a valid driver's license, physical stamina, and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Proficiency in computer applications is advantageous. Training support, including MAP Certification, CPR, and First Aid, will be provided.
