Job Summary

The Security Guard Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors of Emerson College. This involves overseeing and coordinating security operations, managing a team of security personnel, implementing security protocols, and collaborating with ECPD to ensure the overall safety and security of the campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of security officers, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Implement and enforce security procedures and protocols to safeguard campus facilities, assets, and individuals.
  • Conduct routine patrols and monitor security systems to detect and address any security breaches or suspicious activities.
  • Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms promptly and effectively.
  • Coordinate with campus authorities, law enforcement agencies, and emergency services as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of security activities, incidents, and personnel performance.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in security or law enforcement, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a security team and interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ability to remain calm, decisive, and proactive in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in using security equipment and technologies, such as CCTV systems and access control systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in security or law enforcement, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a security team and interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ability to remain calm, decisive, and proactive in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in using security equipment and technologies, such as CCTV systems and access control systems.
