Job Title: Tavern General Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tavern General Manager to join our team at Golden Route Operations. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the overall operation and direct supervision of a bar venue, ensuring exceptional service standards, efficient staffing, and a positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Train, develop, and measure the performance of tavern staff
  • Lead the tactical execution of strategic initiatives under the direction of division leadership
  • Establish and maintain standards of service within assigned taverns
  • Monitor and control labor costs while maintaining adequate coverage based on business demands
  • Supervise staff to ensure the tavern is clean, tables are properly set, and guests receive timely service
  • Inspect the tavern to ensure it meets appearance, orderliness, and cleanliness standards
  • Assign stations and side work to staff and maintain a working knowledge of operational procedures
  • Prepare and serve drinks to proper specifications and present a professional manner at all times
  • Notify management of guest complaints and follow proper cash control procedures
  • Maintain knowledge of liquor laws, regulations, and internal control procedures
  • Complete and oversee set-up and cleaning of the bar area and maintain a safe working environment
Requirements:
  • Minimum two to five years of restaurant/gaming and/or supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and establish effective working relationships with management, staff, and co-workers
  • Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings
  • Intermediate computer skills and ability to functionally communicate occupational-based English
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
Work Environment:

The tavern is a fast-paced, dynamic environment with extreme hot and cold temperatures, slippery surfaces, and chemical agents. The successful candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
