Job Summary

The Senior Manager of Retail Operations is responsible for implementing field-level execution of key strategic initiatives to support the achievement of business objectives, increase profitability, quality, and revenue growth in assigned regions. This position will launch process innovations that result in enhanced delivery of a quality customer experience, increased knowledge of products/services, and support the growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the process of acquiring Exclusive Branded Partners, staff readiness, and back-of-house store operations, including inventory management for all products and accessories and the Point of Sale System.
  • Partner with senior leaders to ensure alignment with the execution of business strategies and manage the coordination of continuous business process improvements to enhance the customer experience and achieve increased sales and revenue.
  • Develop, manage, and communicate overall operational plans, strategies, and matrix requirements to field leaders and monitor and evaluate results.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including logistics and warehouse, to implement operational standards and ensure supporting tools, technologies, and accessories are in place to enable employees to meet and exceed performance standards.
  • Ensure programs are in place to meet the merchandising expectations at all stores within scope of responsibility.
  • Proactively and consistently evaluate operational standards and policies against business results, employee, and customer feedback. Implement best practices in process improvement programs.
  • Create end-to-end operational plans. Assist in managing project milestones and deliverables and change requests that support business goals in collaboration with store management.
  • Deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements, documentation, and presentations as necessary to effectively communicate business strategies and tactics to team members and stakeholders in a transparent manner.
  • Participate in project post-mortems and provide recommendations to identify areas of opportunities for future improvements.
  • Create an environment of continuous learning and development where employees are able to enhance their skills in a retail environment and maximize their potential through coaching, training, and objective performance management.
  • Ensure all store employees within span of control are trained and manage strict enforcement of all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, and suppliers in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner.
  • Experience as a Director, Senior Manager, or Manager in a retail environment.
  • Experience in opening new retail stores.
  • In-depth understanding of retail sales and strategy.
  • Proficiency in inventory and merchandising management.
  • Strong change management skills and techniques.
  • Knowledge of process and procedure design and documentation.
  • Ability to build strategic partnerships within all areas of the organization by exhibiting excellent interpersonal, leadership, influencing, and presentation skills.
  • Able to articulate a passion for delivering a great customer experience during multiple roles in their career.
  • Competency in personal technology, such as mobile devices and personal video platforms.
  • Knowledge and ability to use personal computers and software applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent knowledge of telecommunications products and services.
  • Leadership skills to function as a strategic business leader able to align with the company's culture and values.
  • Knowledge of all functions and related tasks in the area of retail store operations.
  • History of identifying market trends and risks, communicating those to their leaders, and then working with strategic partners to develop response plans.
