About the Role

Tetra Tech is seeking a skilled Hazardous Waste Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our environmental services group, you will play a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance and providing exceptional customer support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for hazardous waste management processes, ensuring compliance with Air Force, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Hazardous Waste Program Manager and Hazardous Waste Management Facility Supervisor to ensure environmental compliance.
  • Coordinate the pick-up and delivery of full and empty containers to facilities across the installation, utilizing vehicles and forklifts as needed.
  • Rinse empty containers prior to recycling and consolidate materials/wastes for collection/disposal.
  • Perform strenuous fieldwork under various site and weather conditions, lifting and/or moving items weighing greater than 25 pounds.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER training required.
  • Medical physical and pass required.
  • Working knowledge of Air Force Instructions (AFI) and federal environmental regulations relevant to hazardous materials management.
  • Experience with hazardous materials management and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
