Electromechanical Engineering Technician

CUES Inc. is seeking a skilled Electromechanical Engineering Technician to join our engineering support team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall quality and reliability of our product line.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Testing and Validation:
    • Troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems to identify root causes of failures.
    • Develop and implement reliable testing methods for prototype and manufacturing environments.
    • Conduct tests and provide accurate documentation and insight into test results.
    • Generate assembly procedures, test procedures, instructions, and documentation.
    • Participate in design reviews, build prototypes, and provide feedback to improve products.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork:
    • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers in the development, testing, and documentation of new and existing product lines.
    • Provide technical support and training to team members and end-users as needed.
    • Balance working on multiple high-priority projects and adjust work based on leadership direction.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience as an engineering technician or similar role, with a focus on hardware integration and testing.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems and components.
  • Proficiency with standard Office Tools (Word, Excel, Acrobat).
  • Flexibility to work in various environments and adapt to changing project requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Knowledge of standard hand tools and lab equipment.
  • Familiarity operating a lathe, mill, or similar equipment to create test fixtures or alter prototype designs.
Education & Certifications:
  • Associate degree or equivalent certificate within a field of engineering technology required.
Work Environment:
  • 8AM – 5PM, Monday – Friday with opportunity for flexibility.
  • This role may involve infrequent local travel.
