Job Summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Framing Field Supervisor to manage the framing process for single and multi-family homes. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construction Management
    • Analyze job sites to ensure quality construction can be achieved.
    • Review construction documents and understand material requirements.
    • Frame buildings according to blueprints and company standards.
    • Create and maintain a safe work environment to protect company interests.
    • Coordinate with the team to ensure timely delivery of materials and labor.
    • Schedule material delivery according to the builder's Construction Manager schedule.
    • Ensure laborers frame in compliance with OSHA, builder, and Carter Lumber standards.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure customers receive the highest quality of workmanship.
    • Deliver timely completion of jobs, attention to detail, and follow company code of conduct.
    • React to problems and complaints in a patient and understanding manner.
  • Knowledge and Training
    • Acquire training needed to build products safely and efficiently.
    • Become certified in installed products to ensure best service to customers.
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience in residential or light commercial construction, primarily in framing.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of building materials and tools.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work under time constraints.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Ability to analyze and provide recommendations to solve problems.
  • Knowledgeable in scheduling programs such as Builder Trend, Build Pro, Supply Pro.
