Job Title: Alternative Program Staff

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Alternative Program Staff member at Ogle County, Illinois.

Job Summary:

The Alternative Program Staff will provide supervision and support to at-risk youth in our program, facilitating life skills groups, organizing public service work, and transporting youth to and from the program.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide supervision and monitor at-risk youth in our program
  • Facilitate life skills groups and organize public service work
  • Transport youth to and from the program
  • Organize and supervise recreation activities
  • Display role-model behavior and maintain strong personal boundaries with youth
  • Assist the Alternative Program Coordinator with special tasks
  • Document youth behavior and communicate effectively with the treatment team
  • Attend staff meetings and in-services
Requirements:
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Have a valid Illinois driver's license
  • Have a good driving record
  • Be in good physical health
  • Have no criminal history or convictions (except minor traffic violations)
  • Be a citizen of the United States
  • Hold at least an Associate's Degree from an accredited college (Bachelor's degree preferred)
Working Conditions:

The Alternative Program Staff will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with at-risk youth and working closely with the treatment team.

Benefits:

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $15.00 - $17.00 per hour, with expected hours of 20 - 25 per week.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Criminal History and Convictions: You must have no criminal history or convictions. Any undisclosed criminal record may result in disqualification.
  • Urine Screen: Successful candidates must be willing to undergo a urine screen as part of the hiring process.
  • TB Test: Applicants may be required to undergo a Tuberculosis (TB) test.
  • Background Check: A comprehensive background check will be conducted on all candidates.
