Job Summary

The Senior Clinical Social Work Specialist will be responsible for providing social work services to patients and their families, including counseling, assessment, and care planning. You will work closely with other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care and support for our patients. Your expertise will be essential in identifying and addressing social and emotional barriers to care, and developing strategies to promote patient engagement and adherence to treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Clinical Social Work Specialist will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Care Planning: Assess patients' social and emotional needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and ensure seamless communication with other healthcare team members.
  • Counseling and Support: Provide counseling and support to patients and their families to address social and emotional barriers to care.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document all aspects of care provision, including patient assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Master's degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work.
  • 1-2 years social work experience in a healthcare facility or setting.
  • Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) or Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) certification.
  • CPR certification and a valid state driver's license.
Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $60,632.00 - $101,899.20. MedStar Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
