Job Title: Surgical Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:

Premier Medical Resources is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Webster, TX. As a clinical provider, you will be responsible for maintaining and promoting the health of patients requiring acute care, adhering to clinical guidelines outlined by the State of Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical services to patients, including all functions necessary to provide medical care under the direction of a physician.
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, identify normal/abnormal health characteristics, develop a plan of care, initiate appropriate interventions, and evaluate care outcomes on defined patient populations.
  • Perform delegated functions under physician supervision, such as differential diagnosis, use of prescriptive authority, and treatment according to practice guidelines, protocols, and/or standing orders.
  • Use critical thinking skills and clinical judgment to work autonomously, collaborating with the physician and healthcare team members to manage/coordinate patient care.
  • Record accurate consultation data in patients' records and charting in the patient's medical record is to be completed on the same day as the patient's visit.
  • Instigate necessary invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests or investigations and interpret findings/reports.
  • Provide safe, evidence-based, cost-effective, individualized patient care and contribute to the practice achieving its quality targets to sustain high standards of patient care and service delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the practice and follow all internal policies and procedures, being accountable for completion of all operational tasks according to departmental guidelines to ensure appropriate clinical processing/documentation.
  • See patients in a timely and efficient manner, staying reasonably on time for scheduled appointments in practice throughout the day, unless exceptional circumstances occur.
  • Maintain current licensure and credentials, remaining current in practice.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Advanced Nursing Program or Physician Assistant Program.
  • Current license for the State of Texas.
  • Prescriptive authority privileges through the State of Texas.
  • BLS, ACLS, certification.
