Job Title: Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Minivasive Pain and Orthopedics. As a clinical provider, you will play a vital role in delivering personalized and compassionate care to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide medical services to patients, including comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and treatment according to practice guidelines.
  • Conducts comprehensive health assessments, identifies normal/abnormal health characteristics, develops plan of care, initiates appropriate interventions, and evaluates care outcomes on defined patient populations.
  • Performs delegated functions under physician supervision, such as differential diagnosis, use of prescriptive authority, and treatment according to practice guidelines, protocols, and/or standing orders.
  • Uses critical thinking skills and clinical judgement to work autonomously as defined by the Nurse Practice Act. Collaborates with the Physician and healthcare team members to manage/coordinate patient care.
  • Record accurate consultation data in patients' records.
  • Charting in the patient's medical record is routinely to be completed on the same day as the patient's visit.
  • Instigate necessary invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests or investigations and interpret findings/reports.
  • Provide safe, evidence-based, cost-effective, individualized patient care.
  • Contribute to the practice achieving its quality targets to sustain the high standards of patient care and service delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the practice.
  • Follow all internal policies and procedures; be accountable for completion of all operational tasks according to departmental guidelines to ensure appropriate clinical processing/documentation.
  • See patients in a timely and efficient manner, stay reasonably on time for scheduled appointments in practice throughout the day, unless exceptional circumstances occur.
  • Maintains current licensure and credentials. Remains current in practice.
  • Responds and comply to requests for information including sending faxes and e-mails.
  • Report statistics as required.
  • Protects patient and family privacy rights and maintains confidentiality of patient records in accordance to policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements.
  • Follows all safety rules on the job. Reports all accidents promptly and corrects minor safety hazards. Communicates with peers and management regarding any hazards identified in the work place.
  • Travels as necessary to other facilities.
  • Performs other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
  • Prescriptive authority privileges through the State of Texas.
  • BLS, ACLS.
  • Must have reliable transportation for traveling.
