About the Role

BDS Connected Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Merchandising Specialist to join our team. As a Merchandising Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining visual displays, fixtures, and endcaps in retail stores. This is a full-time position that requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain visual displays, fixtures, and endcaps in retail stores
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to display functionality and maintenance
  • Lead teams on multi-representative projects, which may require travel to multiple locations
  • Meet ad-hoc maintenance requirements, including store service within 48-72 hours and independently troubleshooting and enabling fully functional displays
  • Travel up to 120 miles with paid drive time and mileage
  • Work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with occasional weekend work
  • Report the status of each store visit accurately to demonstrate success in achieving objectives
  • Perform general merchandising functions, including reset PLANOGRAMs, POP, and pricing/fact tags
  • Build in-store relationships and participate in weekly conference calls
  • Complete administrative tasks, including scheduling reports and entering data/reports

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in building displays, fixturing, and monitor cabling/connectivity
  • Experience using tools required to maintain displays
  • Experience in troubleshooting and fixing display issues
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to independently manage an account base
  • Proficient in using a personal smartphone/tablet with GPS functionality
  • Ability to drive on behalf of the company with reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance
  • Basic toolkit required, including a multi-screwdriver, torx security bit set, hammer, cordless drill, and other essential tools

  • Regularly stand, walk, bend over, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, balance, grasp, push or pull, talk and/or hear, and drive
  • Lift and carry supplies into the store up to 10 pounds
  • Lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  • Occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with support from a 2nd person
  • Work 8 hour resets when necessary
  • Climb a ladder more than 10ft. tall
  • Continuous hand/eye coordination and fine manipulation

Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced retail environment with frequent travel to multiple locations. The employee must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
