Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Recruitment and Student Engagement to join our team at Penn State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our recruitment efforts and developing strategies to engage with prospective students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the University at recruitment events and conferences to promote our programs and services.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Collaborate with academic departments and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with university goals and objectives.
  • Manage and supervise a team of recruitment staff to ensure effective execution of recruitment plans.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including high school counselors, community leaders, and other influencers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in recruitment and student engagement.
  • Contribute to the development of recruitment materials, including brochures, videos, and website content.
  • Participate in data analysis and reporting to measure the effectiveness of recruitment efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field, plus 6 years of experience in recruitment and student engagement.
  • Proven track record of success in recruitment and student engagement, with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform recruitment strategies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a passion for promoting access and opportunity for underrepresented groups.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Experience working in higher education, with a focus on recruitment and student engagement.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in recruitment and student engagement.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting, including the use of data to inform recruitment strategies.
