Description

Position Purpose:

The Student Recruiting Lead plays a crucial role in the recruitment and enrollment processes of prospective students for Charis Bible College. This position requires a deep understanding of the college's mission, values, and educational programs while also having effective communication, relationship-building skills, and a good working knowledge of our computer systems. This role ensures all prospective applicants (Woodland Park, US EXT Schools, and Online) are served well and to equal standards by each Student Recruiting Specialist through a Quality Program that captures the journey of the prospective applicant from application completion to Registration Day.

Essential Duties:
  • Help Student Recruiters meet the clear, internal department goals and work to achieve applicant numbers aligned with the goals of Charis Leadership.
  • Support the Student Recruiting Manager by identifying problems,developing plans to solve issues, and seeking timely assistance as needed.
  • Encourage and assist a front-facing, inbound call priority phone team of Student Recruiting Specialists who receive all inbound calls to the Charis Bible College main phone line.
  • Encourage and assist the Student Recruiting Team to make outbound calls to prospective students and inquiries to assist them in taking their next steps to Charis Bible College.
  • Assist the Student Recruiting Manager in coaching and motivating the Student Recruiting Team for successful interactions with prospective students. This includes quality checks that appropriate skills are present, such as conversational proficiency on the phone, system competence, record-keeping maintenance, encouraging applicants in their next steps, and competence in any other day-to-day operations.
  • Weekly quality checks on phone calls, reviewing documentation, and giving/recording regular feedback to Specialists.
  • Ensure SLAs are being utilized to establish appropriate quality assurance control processes and execute policy and procedures consistently across the board to ensure that every prospective student receives an excellent experience.
  • Assist in keeping training materials up to date, call flows current, correct scripting, documentation standardized, and overall workflows aligned accordingly.
  • Work with the Student Recruiting Manager to ensure the Student Recruiting Team has the proper training and to perform tours, open houses, and other Student Recruiting events for prospective students.
  • Be willing to assist the Student Recruiting Manager and the needs of the team at all times.
  • Work with the Enrollment team throughout the student journey to recruit students to continue their journey with Charis through graduation and beyond.
  • Present weekly reports to the Student Recruiting Manager with information about issues, data, needs, and questions.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
  • Work and sync with necessary teams.
  • Collaborative teamwork with other teams being responsive to their needs and working to have an enrollment perspective that includes and goes beyond recruiting's needs.
  • Help the Student Recruiting Manager build and maintain a healthy culture for our team, the ministry, and incoming students.

  • Competent and productive interaction with the Student Recruiting Manager and team members.
  • High level of discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Professionalism and diplomacy in communications with various cultures and diversities.
  • Proficiency with computers and documentation utilizing Reach, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Monday.com, and SharePoint.
Requirements:
  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Must sign the Statement of Faith.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • Charis Bible College graduate is preferred.
  • Must pass all required checks.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 1 year in a team customer service role is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in Recruiting/Admissions, higher education, or sales is preferred.
  • Training and quality assurance experience is preferred.
  • Call center experience is desirable.
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience.
