Job Title: Student Building Supervisor

**Job Summary:**

Campus Recreation at Penn State University is seeking Penn State students to work as Student Building Supervisors within the Facilities and Operations unit. As a Student Building Supervisor, you will assist with the supervision, training, and evaluation of Facility Attendants. You will work under the direction of the Assistant Director of Facilities and Operations and Coordinator for Facilities and Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the supervision, training, and evaluation of Facility Attendants.
  • Help ensure policies and procedures for Campus Recreation buildings are enforced in a fair and consistent manner, particularly on nights and weekends.
  • Attend staff meetings and maintain professionalism at all times.
  • Provide backup to facility access staff when necessary.
  • Provide coverage when needed for special events that go beyond normal operation hours.

Requirements:

  • Penn State student status.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to cover or trade shifts when necessary.
  • Ability to recognize and identify unruly patrons or unsafe behaviors.
  • Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends as necessary.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification required.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds with or without accommodation.
