Your Responsibilities:
- Design and execute a variety of activities tailored to the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents.
- Plan and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly events such as arts and crafts, music therapy, fitness classes, social gatherings, and outings.
- Encourage resident involvement and cultivate a sense of community within the home.
- Work closely with care staff to identify individual resident needs and preferences.
- Maintain detailed records of resident participation and progress.
- Collaborate with external entertainers, volunteers, and community organizations to enhance the activities program.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe and supportive manner.
- Promote the wellbeing of residents by fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a care home or community setting is highly desirable.
- A background in recreational therapy, social work, or a related field is advantageous.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Creativity and a passion for enhancing the lives of others.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
