Pharmacist Program Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist Program Manager to join our team at Elevance Health. As a key member of our pharmacy benefit management team, you will be responsible for managing pharmacy programs, ensuring seamless communication with internal and external stakeholders, and driving strategic sales and tactical plans to improve pharmacy benefit performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage internal and external stakeholder communications for assigned pharmacy programs
  • Ensure proper reaction to and resolution of issues concerning the pharmacy benefit program
  • Act as a support resource for the sales team to improve pharmacy benefit performance for existing accounts
  • Execute strategic sales and tactical plans by consulting with key decision-makers and operational stakeholders
  • Provide ongoing support to regional decision-makers and the PBM field sales team during RFP processes
  • Assist in developing recommendations for outcomes-based savings and revenue opportunities
  • Assist operations in developing key therapeutic programs based on earnings potential
  • Assist in meeting internal health plan penetration goals

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Pharmacy and a minimum of 2 years of managed care pharmacy experience
  • Current valid active unrestricted state(s) RPH license required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pharm D preferred
  • Prior experience working for a PBM company in a client-facing role strongly preferred
  • Prior experience in Commercial/Employer group clinical account management support experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel several times a week during peak seasons to locations in NY and NH
  • Knowledge of current health care and managed care pharmacy practices strongly preferred
  • Professional designation preferred

Salary Range:

$142,656 to $213,984

Work Environment:

Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process.
