Job Summary

The Biomedical Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective operation of medical equipment in assigned areas of the hospital and external clients. This includes installation, electrical safety inspections, periodic maintenance, performance testing, and major and minor repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate sophisticated test equipment and instrumentation for inspections, performance tests, and periodic maintenance/repairs of medical equipment.
  • Analyze testing data and prepare reports as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of biomedical equipment commonly used in general care areas.
  • Perform tasks outlined in Associate Biomedical Technician role.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless operation of medical equipment.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics Technology, Military or Technical Training, or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience in repair of biomedical equipment (preferred).
