St. Charles Health System is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Integrated Behavioral Health Department, you will work closely with primary care providers to deliver high-quality behavioral health services to our patients.

Job Summary:

The Behavioral Health Consultant will provide behavioral health assessments and brief interventions to patients in a primary care setting. This role requires advanced skills in conducting brief assessments using a biopsychosocial model and delivering evidence-based interventions to improve overall health and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct behavioral health assessments and provide brief interventions to patients in a primary care setting.
  • Work closely with primary care providers to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Provide targeted assessment and evaluation, including diagnostic impression and functional status on presenting problem(s).
  • Triaging and referring patients to specialty mental health care when appropriate.
  • Develop and implement behavioral health programs to meet the needs of the changing organization and changes in health care delivery.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited college or university.
  • Current licensure as a clinical social worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Ability to travel to business functions/trainings/meetings and all SCHS worksites.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a primary care setting.
  • Membership with applicable state/national organization.
Work Environment:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively. The Behavioral Health Consultant will work closely with primary care providers and other members of the care team to deliver high-quality patient care.
