Role Summary:

The Shipping Associate is tasked with the crucial responsibility of transferring finished goods from storage to transportation vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate sit-down forklifts to retrieve products from cold storage and load/unload trucks.
  • Utilize hand-held scanners to accurately log inventory.
  • Wrap products on pallets according to specifications using wrapping machinery.
  • Work safely in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods.
  • Achieve forklift certification.

Qualifications:

  • Adhere to all safety, USDA, and GMP standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate effectively and follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Collaborate well within a team and exhibit leadership qualities.
  • Possess basic math skills for operational tasks.
  • Be physically capable of meeting job demands.

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand for 8 to 10 hours daily.
  • Operate powered industrial equipment.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Engage in bending, stooping, twisting, and squatting as necessary.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to cold and damp conditions.
  • Work with loud machinery.
  • Potential exposure to dust and chemicals.
