Position Overview

As a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator, you will play a vital role in operating, maintaining, and repairing wastewater treatment plants and collection systems. This position involves ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting testing and analysis, and contributing to system repairs and maintenance. As part of a dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on water quality and environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain wastewater systems to meet regulatory requirements
  • Conduct sampling, analysis, and process control testing
  • Maintain equipment, perform housekeeping duties, and calibrate monitoring devices
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Record data, communicate effectively, and collaborate with team members
  • Assist in equipment repairs and system maintenance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in wastewater treatment operation and sewage collection systems
  • Knowledge of water process control, mechanical maintenance, and electrical systems
  • Required certifications: Class B Wastewater License, state driver's license
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in various conditions
  • Willingness to undergo background checks for military installations
