Our recycling operations rank among the top twenty in the nation, utilizing 100% recycled resins in our final products.
We leverage advanced molding technology and robotics to manufacture some of the largest plastic molded components globally, holding over 200 patents in our pursuit of innovation.
This role is based at our manufacturing facility where we focus on producing advanced wastewater treatment solutions for both residential and commercial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Coordination:
As a Manufacturing Operations Coordinator, you will be integral in managing production workflows to fulfill customer requirements while maximizing resource efficiency.
Core Duties:
Scheduling:
Formulate and uphold production schedules to guarantee the prompt execution of manufacturing orders. Collaborate with various teams, including procurement, production, and logistics, to synchronize schedules with resource availability and production capabilities.
Material Management:
Work alongside procurement teams to ensure the necessary raw materials, components, and supplies are available prior to commencing production. Monitor inventory levels, anticipate demand, and modify procurement strategies as needed to avert shortages or surplus.
Plan and forecast for each component to ensure optimal lead times.Capacity Analysis:
Regularly assess production capacity, identify bottlenecks, and devise practical production plans.
Enhance resource utilization by balancing workloads across production lines and shifts, taking into account equipment availability, part readiness, labor capacity, and lead times.
Order Processing:
Evaluate and prioritize customer orders based on delivery timelines, production capabilities, and inventory levels. Maintain communication with sales and customer service teams regarding order status, lead times, and potential delays to effectively manage expectations.
Process Improvement:
Recognize opportunities for enhancing processes and increasing efficiency within the production planning framework. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and sustain best practices, streamline operations, and minimize waste.
Performance Evaluation:
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production output, cycle times, cost implications, and schedule adherence.
Analyze discrepancies from the plan to identify root causes and initiate corrective measures to meet production objectives.
Risk Mitigation:
Proactively identify potential risks and disruptions to production schedules, including material availability, equipment failures, supplier delays, or workforce shortages.
Formulate contingency plans and alternative strategies to mitigate risks and minimize disruptions to production operations.Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain precise records of production schedules, material requirements, and performance metrics. Generate reports and analytics to monitor performance trends and support informed decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, or a related discipline is required.
APICS certification is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain management within a manufacturing context.
Proficiency in production planning software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for interpreting data and making informed decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration across various departments and organizational levels.
Attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous.
