Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer/EIT to join a prestigious engineering and surveying firm. This role is pivotal in the design and development of various projects including residential, commercial, and public works.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Auto-CAD drafting to support civil engineering designs.
  • Collaborate with team members and external consultants.
  • Develop plans, specifications, and reports, ensuring all documents are stamped and finalized.
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance and quality control reviews of deliverables.
  • Design site and infrastructure in accordance with local standards, maintaining effective communication with jurisdictional planning and engineering staff.
  • Perform site visits to monitor construction quality and progress.
  • Manage project documentation and correspondence.
  • Calculate construction bid quantities and develop cost estimates.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and agency personnel.

Qualifications:
  • Possession (or ability to obtain) an Oregon Civil Engineer License within 18 months.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong technical skills in civil engineering, along with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with Civil 3D or similar software.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including experience in proposal and report writing.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Strong networking skills to foster professional relationships.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work within established budgets and timelines.
