Cardiac Sonographer

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at St. Clare Hospital - Fenton. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with accepted protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Perform appropriate diagnostic procedures, record patient test results, and report results.
- Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses.
- Maintain adequate supplies and verify all equipment is in proper working condition; report deficiencies and failures.
- Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
- Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area, and other areas in the department.
- Associate's degree or equivalent years of experience and education.
- 1 year of experience preferred but new grads welcome.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA) certification.
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or equivalent certification.
