Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Sonographer at SSM Health, you will play a critical role in assessing cardiac structures and hemodynamics using echocardiography techniques. This position requires a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology, as well as excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assess cardiac function and structure
  • Record and report patient test results to healthcare teams
  • Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses
  • Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring proper functioning and reporting deficiencies
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards and submit high-quality images and documents to PACS
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Sonography program
  • No experience required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
