Key Responsibilities
  • Prescribe, delegate, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate patient teaching and the activities of ancillary nursing personnel.
  • Provide direct and indirect care to patients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Monitor patient progress, identifying and addressing any changes or concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a State Board School of Nursing or equivalent.
  • Twelve months of experience preferred.
  • Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas.
  • AHA BLS certification within two weeks of employment.
  • Medication Competence within two weeks of employment.
  • Computer Competence within four weeks of employment.
  • Medication Examination within twelve weeks of employment.
  • Basic Dysrhythmia certification within twelve weeks of employment (if applicable).
  • TNCC certification within six months of employment (if hired in MICU or Neuro ICU).
  • Critical Care Classes and Examinations within sixteen weeks of employment.
  • ACLS certification within sixteen weeks of employment.
  • Phlebotomy/Point of Care Competency within four weeks of employment.
