Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for clinical documentation systems, representing the clinician's perspective in relevant discussions.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of product features, functionalities, and the application software's utilization, including data reporting capabilities.
- Assist clinical management and administrative personnel with network setup and provide comprehensive system training.
- Oversee system accounts for both internal and external users.
- Manage software vendor relationships, addressing day-to-day operations, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
- Support and supervise integrations between NetHealth and other EMR systems as necessary.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership regarding contract details when required.
- Analyze stakeholder expectations and requirements to manage them effectively.
- Identify operational challenges and risks, resolving or escalating them as appropriate.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership and staff to promote high utilization and adherence to system-driven processes.
- Utilize project management skills to define tasks, allocate resources, and coordinate teams to meet established milestones.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to accomplish objectives.
- Facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, address issues, or manage related projects.
- Monitor system performance to identify potential problems, reporting critical findings to relevant parties and resolving issues promptly.
- Evaluate new features or enhancements, making recommendations for deployment to operations and clinical leadership.
- Ensure thorough testing and verification of new functionalities prior to implementation.
- Define disaster recovery strategies and participate in related initiatives.
- Address or triage support inquiries as needed, tracking issues to identify improvement opportunities or trends affecting system performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in the healthcare sector is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
Skills and Competencies
- Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory standards and their implications for business operations.
- Prior experience with EMR management, integration, and optimization is essential (NetHealth experience is a plus).
- Exhibit discretion regarding all confidential and Electronic Protected Health Information (EPHI) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills, with the capacity to develop tailored solutions for Mendota Health's needs.
- Excellent organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), electronic medical record platforms, and Salesforce.
