Position Overview:

The Senior Manager will engage directly with prominent hedge fund and private equity firms within the alternative asset sector, guided by a team of seasoned professionals. This role is essential in enhancing our service offerings through various responsibilities, including:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist client leads at IQ-EQ with multiple hedge and private equity funds across diverse industries.
  • Oversee team operations to manage client expectations and ensure timely delivery of client obligations as per the limited partnership agreement.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of limited partnership agreements and apply relevant terms to financial reporting and income/expense allocations.
  • Evaluate journal entries, management fee calculations, investor allocations, capital account statements, capital call and distribution calculations, sources/uses of cash, investor notifications, carried interest calculations, and the upkeep of waterfall models.
  • Review daily position and trade reconciliations between client records and their Prime Brokers.
  • Coordinate the distribution of capital call and distribution notices to clients and investors.
  • Examine monthly Administrator NAV Packages and update the portfolio accounting system as necessary.
  • Analyze financial statements, notes disclosures, and supporting schedules.
  • Manage the year-end process and respond to inquiries from external auditors and tax teams.
  • Evaluate operational efficiency and propose enhancements for process improvement.
  • Address routine client information requests and fulfill ad-hoc inquiries as required.
  • Prioritize and manage tasks to meet competing deadlines effectively.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Conduct quarterly Client and Time Assessments and lead new client onboarding processes.
Qualifications:
  • Over 10 years of progressive experience in hedge/private equity, public accounting, or a blend of experience in alternative asset investment firms and public accounting.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills with expertise in accounting and administration for alternative investment funds.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Experience in leading and developing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional client service.
  • Proficient in collaborating within a team environment and giving/receiving constructive feedback.
  • Capable of producing a high volume of work with precision and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Effective and professional communication skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Investran, Allvue, and Bloomberg is preferred.
Compensation:

Salary is commensurate with experience and location, ranging from $100,000 to $135,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
