Position Overview:

The Lead Teacher/Director is responsible for maintaining the high standards of the evening care program and curriculum. This role involves supervising an assistant teacher, undergraduate student workers, and ensuring a nurturing environment for children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee enrollment documentation and maintain communication with families.
  • Supervise staff and volunteers, developing engaging curriculum plans.
  • Provide consistent guidance and support to children during activities.
  • Foster positive interactions with parents, respecting their diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of teaching experience with children aged 5 to 11.
  • Current Director's Credential for Florida.
  • Background check and First Aid/CPR certification required.

Skills & Abilities:
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.
  • Understanding of diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Work Schedule:
  • This is a part-time position with a schedule from Monday to Thursday, focusing on evening hours.
