Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Property Management and Real Estate Investments, coupled with a passion for construction and infrastructure development. This is a full-time, permanent position that promises a challenging and rewarding career path for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting.
  • Manage and track the performance of invested assets in our real estate portfolio.
  • Ensure that all financial operations are in compliance with statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Analyze cost, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company's actual performance compared to the business plans.
  • Develop financial and tax strategies and manage capital request and budgeting processes.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a workplace environment that is collaborative, respectful, and high-performing.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Controller in the Property Management or construction industry or similar role.
  • A strong understanding and experience in Property Management and Real Estate Investments.
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
  • CPA is REQUIRED.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and experience with a software system implementation.
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong leadership qualities and experience in managing a team.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and inspire a shared vision for financial success.
  • An unwavering commitment to ethical business practices and integrity.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including company-paid health insurance, generous PTO, and many more great perks.
