Armstrong McGuire is seeking a seasoned Senior Financial Director to join their team in Raleigh-Durham, NC area. As a key member of the finance leadership team, this individual will be responsible for overseeing financial operations and driving strategic growth.

The estimated salary for this position is around $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Job Overview

As a Senior Financial Director, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial statements, and collaborating with the FP&A Manager to develop and implement budgets and financial forecasts.

You will also assist the VP, Finance & Corporate Services in developing long-term financial strategies aligned with Armstrong McGuire's strategic plan and provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage and monitor cash flow to ensure liquidity and operational stability.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A Manager and the VP, Finance & Corporate Services to develop and implement budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Coordinate and prepare for annual audits, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with active CPA certification.
  • Extensive experience in Accounting or Finance, with public accounting experience preferred.
  • Significant leadership responsibility managing accounting/financial operations and teams that support multiple accounting functions.
  • Experience in accreditation and/or the health care sector is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements, with experience in a nonprofit environment desired.
  • Experience in a Services (i.e., people for hire) organization is desired.
  • Advanced Excel skills a must, along with extensive experience using accounting systems (preferably Sage Intacct or comparable).
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and professional development.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to diverse audiences.
