Wound Care Operations Director

Healogics is the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the United States, treating over 300,000 chronic wound patients annually across more than 600 sites. As a result of an aging society, increasing rates of obesity and diabetes, and a rise in surgical procedures, there is a growing need for expert wound care.
The Clinical Nurse Manager/Clinical RN Lead plays a crucial role in coordinating clinical activities at the Wound Care Center. This position involves patient care assessment, patient care planning, and implementation, as well as working on patient care quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Program Director and Medical Director to meet the Center's program objectives and ensure optimal healing outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proficient in case management responsibilities, including providing assessments according to protocols and procedures, clinical competence in procedural skills, treatments, and patient/caregiver education related to wound care management.
- Organize and prioritize clinical responsibilities, provide clinical oversight to clinical staff, such as Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) or Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs), Hyperbaric Oxygen Technicians, etc.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, key hospital personnel, Wound Care Center Providers, Program Director, and Medical Director regarding clinical and patient needs.
- Consistently review current processes and procedures, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes while complying with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Department of Health (DOH), hospital, and Healogics requirements.
- Engage in staff development by providing general inservices, individual instruction, and orientation.
- Provide staff recognition through positive reinforcement and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with the Program Director in coordination of program objectives from a budgetary and financial perspective.
- If the program provides Vein Care services, coordinate vein clinic activities and assist in providing care as needed after completing Healogics Vein Clinic training.
- Collaborate with the Program Director and Medical Director to achieve Wound Care Center quality indicators.
- May function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics and hospital policies.
- May perform hyperbaric safety director duties after completing required Healogics hyperbaric safety director training.
- Following required hyperbaric training, may act as a chamber operator or emergency chamber operator.
- Perform patient care based on Center staffing needs.
- Perform other duties as required.
Required Education, Experience, and Credentials:
- Current RN license to maintain throughout employment
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) minimum; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- One year experience as an RN required; two years' experience preferred
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Wound care certification preferred
Salary Range: $100,160 - $130,040 Annually
