Aerospace Contract UAV Pilot Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Contract UAV Pilot II-III to support the ground and flight operations of an Unmanned Aircraft System during stateside and overseas missions.
The selected candidate will serve as a cross-functional member of a two-man team, functioning as either the Pilot-in-Command or Flight Engineer. As a key player in our operation, you will be responsible for ensuring mission success while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform flight operation planning in support of customer-driven requirements.
- Conduct pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight safety checks to ensure seamless mission execution.
- Remotely pilot a UAS, following a specific flight plan or modifying flight plans to meet mission objectives.
- Conduct flight demonstrations for customers at remote locations, showcasing the capabilities of our UAS.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to maximize mission readiness rates and minimize downtime.
- Ensure strict adherence to all FAA/host nation/customer regulations as applicable.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS LEVEL II:
To qualify for this role, you must possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in UAV operations.
- No less than 500 hours of flight experience as a Pilot in Command.
- A current DoD Secret level security clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret level security clearance.
- The capacity to obtain a FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS LEVEL III:
In addition to Level II requirements, candidates should have:
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in UAV operations.
- No less than 500 hours of flight experience as a Pilot in Command.
- A current DoD Secret level security clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret level security clearance.
- The capacity to obtain a FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates with the following skills and experience will be given preference:
- Military flight experience.
- A Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
- A Private Pilot License.
- Experience in deployed UAS ISR operations.
