Job Overview

Platform Aerospace seeks a skilled Contract UAV Pilot to support ground and flight operations of an Unmanned Aircraft System during stateside and overseas missions.

This role involves the safe operation of the aircraft and success of mission objectives. As a cross-functional member of a two-man team, the pilot will function as either the Pilot-in-Command or Flight Engineer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform flight operation planning in support of customer-driven requirements.
  • Conduct pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight safety checks.
  • Operate UAS remotely, following specific flight plans or modifying them to meet mission objectives.
  • Assist with flight operation planning in support of customer-driven requirements.
  • Support flight operations outside the continental United States for up to six months at a time, or as mutually agreed upon.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS LEVEL II:

  • A high school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Two to five years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 500 hours of flight experience as a Pilot in Command.
  • A current DoD Secret level security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret level security clearance.
  • Able to obtain FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
  • Completion of training or a degree in aviation, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Up to 100% CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.
