Network Operations Technician

The NOC Technician I is a key member of our team, responsible for implementing, monitoring, and managing network access services, network equipment, and related systems. This role involves primary troubleshooting of incidents and issues, conducting routine maintenance tasks, and supporting network operations to ensure network performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and manage network access controls, including user and device access permissions, authentication, and authorization. Assist with the installation, configuration, and setup of access and managed network hardware and software, including routers, switches, and other network devices. Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve access and network-related support requests and incidents, including connectivity problems, hardware failures, and configuration errors, ensuring timely and accurate resolution. Monitor network health, performance, and availability, identifying and addressing issues to maintain optimal network operations. Perform routine, level 1 maintenance tasks, such as system updates, backups, and hardware upgrades, according to established procedures. Collaborate with senior technicians and network engineers to support network projects and initiatives. Follow established network security protocols and best practices to ensure the integrity and protection of network systems. Assist with network performance monitoring and reporting, contributing to efforts to improve network efficiency and reliability. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to network operations and support. Maintain regular updates to incidents conveying pertinent information to customers, Granite account teams, and other technical personnel.
Requirements:
Ability to foster strong working relationships between project teams, stakeholders, management, and vendors. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
