Consumer Loan Processing Specialist

People First Federal Credit Union is seeking a dedicated Consumer Loan Processing Specialist to enhance our Consumer Lending team. This position is essential in assisting members with their consumer loan inquiries, providing necessary clerical and administrative support to ensure the efficient processing and closing of loans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide an outstanding member experience by attentively addressing their needs through various communication methods. Identify financial solutions through discussions and suggest credit union products and services that align with the member's financial objectives. Stay informed about all credit union offerings, policies, and promotions.
- Guide members through their loan applications and prepare documentation for review by a Loan Officer. Maintain communication with the Loan Officer to track application status.
- Facilitate the processing of approved loans and coordinate loan closing appointments, whether in-person or electronically, ensuring timely disbursements.
- Collaborate with partner dealerships to manage auto loan processing on behalf of members.
- Ensure the validation and electronic filing of executed loan documents in the appropriate systems.
Working Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 8:45 am - 5:30 pm
- Friday: 9:15 am - 6:00 pm OR 8:45 am - 5:30 pm

Qualifications:
- Experience in lending is required.
- Loan officer experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in Consumer Lending, particularly with auto loans, is highly desirable.
- A High School diploma or GED is required.
- Strong conflict resolution and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent listening and communication abilities.
- Aptitude for learning and adapting to new technologies and processes.
