Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Safety Specialist to join our team at Evonik Industries. As a key member of our process safety team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our divisions and business lines to ensure the safe design, construction, and operation of chemical production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform process safety calculations and evaluations related to emergency relief systems, dispersion analysis, flammability analysis, and consequence modeling.
  • Facilitate process safety discussions and lead PHA (HAZOP/PAAG, structured What-If) sessions.
  • Develop and evaluate process safety concepts for production plants, and provide safety technical consultancy on prevention and protection concepts.
  • Collaborate closely with production, process technology, and engineering teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, or Chemistry, with a Master's or PhD preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in chemical industry in process safety, production, engineering, or notified body.
  • Strong analytical skills, systematic and structured way of working.
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
