Key Responsibilities:
- Execute assembly tasks on mechanical components.
- Ensure parts meet specifications by utilizing blueprints and measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to construct and maintain tooling.
- Flexibility to work across various shifts as per the collective bargaining agreement.
Work Schedule:
Lockheed Martin offers diverse work schedules that enhance flexibility for our employees. Shifts may vary from a standard 40-hour work week to condensed schedules, providing additional time off.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in mechanical assembly, interpreting blueprints, and using measuring instruments.
- Proficiency with hand tools.
- Capability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary, with visual acuity of 20/20 with corrective lenses.
- Ability to read and apply process plans, sketches, and data to outline tasks.
- All candidates must be U.S. Citizens due to facility requirements.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with measuring and inspection techniques.
- Knowledge of GD&T, ANSI, and military specifications.
- Technical training or over 5 years of experience in precision assembly methods.
- Experience in structural assembly, riveting, and helicoil insertion.
