Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production/Assembly Technician to join our team at Sparton DeLeon Springs, LLC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing routine and repetitive operations in a flexible manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical and electrical operations or assemblies involving fixed indicating meters, in-circuit test/functional test, marking machines, jigs & fixtures, packaging equipment, wire cutting, stripping & twisting equipment, and various types of fastening devices.
  • Assemble and/or repair printed wiring assemblies (PWA), subassemblies, instruments, and final assemblies of various components utilizing a wide range of tools, work processes, and skills to approved documented procedures/specifications.
  • May handle, mix, and test hazardous chemicals.
  • Perform inspection tasks and maintain accurate paperwork and records as required by the job.
  • Responsible for daily clean-up of all assigned work areas.
  • May interact with computer to enter/extract data.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions in English
  • Ability to add/subtract whole numbers, fractions, and decimals using direct reading, gauges, rulers, and scales
  • Successful completion of 1-hour onsite Post Offer Employment Test
  • May be required to lift 50 lbs. as required by the job task
  • May require standing for a significant portion of the shift
Working Conditions

The work environment is a professional office environment and a manufacturing environment. The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions in the plant. The noise level in the work environment may be loud.
