Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's innovative team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge drone technology.

This senior position offers a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in electrical power generation to drive groundbreaking advancements in sustainable energy solutions for drones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop innovative electrical power systems for drones, including generators, alternators, and energy storage solutions.
  • Optimize the integration of electrical power systems into drone platforms, ensuring efficient energy delivery and maximizing flight time.
  • Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations, adhering to industry standards and best practices for both drone technology and electrical power generation.
  • Conduct in-depth feasibility studies and technical evaluations to inform design decisions and optimize performance, considering factors such as weight, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Stay at the forefront of advancements in both drone technology and electrical power generation, researching and exploring emerging trends and innovations.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and technicians, to ensure design requirements are met and project timelines are adhered to.
  • Oversee the testing and validation of designed electrical power systems, analyzing results and making necessary modifications to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test reports.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing electrical power generation equipment, with a strong focus on generators, alternators, and house electrical generators.
  • Proven track record in research and development, demonstrating a passion for innovation and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities presented by drone technology.
  • Expertise in designing and analyzing electrical power systems for drones, considering factors such as weight, efficiency, power output, and reliability.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (specifically Inventor) to create precise and detailed designs for drone components and electrical systems.
  • Experience in the physical assembly and testing of electrical power generation equipment, with a focus on applications for drones.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven ability to identify and overcome engineering challenges specific to the drone industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders across various disciplines.
  • A strong work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
