Master Scheduler

Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Master Scheduler to join our client's dynamic team in Salem, VA.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the company's success by optimizing production schedules, enhancing workflow efficiency, and contributing to their mission of delivering top-notch products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to core beliefs and safety/quality requirements.
- Plan and direct the preparation of master schedules for Kanbans to meet delivery dates, manufacturing capacities, and available manpower.
- Monitor orders in process to ensure manufacturing status and initiate necessary steps to maintain conformity with schedules.
- Prepare summary reports on safety stock and delivery performance for Materials Manager and Production Manager.
- Create and maintain planning bills of material for applicable products.
- Lead change initiatives to improve efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Routinely interact with IT on system and process improvements.
- Serve as operations Customer service liaison and interface with internal Customer Operations Group to ensure readiness and release of product.
- Coordinate sales and operations planning within the facility.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
- 3-5 years' experience using MRP/ERP computer systems and 3 years scheduling/forecasting experience.
- Proven understanding of Kanban Market Systems and good computer skills.
- Strong organizational and written communication skills.
- APICS certification preferred.
