Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a skilled Warehouse Automation Maintenance Technician to join our team in a permanent, full-time capacity. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse automation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse automation equipment, including conveyor systems, sorters, and packers.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems to track and manage maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring optimal equipment performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain a clean and organized maintenance area, adhering to safety protocols and good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
  • Participate in safety and lean programs, supporting the Ryder culture and promoting a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Vocational or technical certification in a related field or 3 years of relevant experience (in lieu of certification) required.
  • Knowledge of 480 volts and pneumatic equipment, intermediate level required.
  • Working knowledge of computer-based equipment maintenance and parts inventory systems, intermediate level required.
  • Demonstrated independent problem-solving capability, intermediate level required.
  • Ability to use PLC and HMI programming software, including Allen Bradley, Ignition, and Wonderware, intermediate level required.
  • Understanding of 24VDC control systems, photoelectric and proximity sensors, intermediate level required.
  • Experience with programming and troubleshooting servo and stepper motors, intermediate level required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and program bar code scanners and other vision systems, intermediate level required.
  • Warehouse maintenance safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, fall restraint, and forklift/MHE operational safety, intermediate level required.
  • Knowledge of operating MHE, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts, intermediate level required.
