Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician Automation Specialist to join our team in Lakewood, WA. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our automated systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on automated equipment and systems
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems to track and manage maintenance activities
  • Ensure spare parts inventories are maintained and up-to-date
  • Participate in the development and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMP's)
  • Establish and maintain a clean and organized maintenance area
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Vocational or technical certification in a related field or 3 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of 480 volts and pneumatic equipment
  • Working knowledge of computer-based equipment maintenance and parts inventory systems
  • Demonstrated independent problem-solving capability
  • Ability to use PLC and HMI programming software
  • Understanding of 24VDC control systems and photoelectric/proximity sensors
  • Experience with programming/troubleshooting servo and stepper motors
  • Ability to troubleshoot/program bar code scanners and vision systems
  • Knowledge of warehouse maintenance safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently in a safe manner
