Job Description

CSI Recruiting is seeking a highly skilled candidate for a Senior Revenue Accountant role at a private oil and gas company based in the United States. Our client is a domestic-focused exploration and production company with assets throughout the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile, prepare, and record monthly revenues, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual language.
  • Coordinate new well set-ups and reconcile revenue data to ensure timely and accurate revenue booking.
  • Retrieve and reconcile electronic revenue data, set up and maintain allocations for common meters and delivery points.
  • Track undisbursed items from purchaser checks, research production information, and interact with other departments and purchasers to obtain necessary data.
  • Contact purchasers when additional information is required, research production vs. revenue discrepancies, and locate and track down missing revenues.
  • Research and reconcile revenue-related general ledger accounts, compile data for audit inquiries, and coordinate with the Controller and CFO as well as other departments on required data for accounting operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in Oil & Gas Accounting field.
  • Minimum of 3 years in an Oil & Gas Revenue Accounting role.
  • Experience with IFS Excaliber upstream oil and gas accounting software is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in small to midsize oil and gas companies where you've seen the full scope of revenue.
  • Expertise in O&G Revenue theory and practice.
  • Strong Excel skills and excellent analytical abilities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with other departments and outside entities.
  • Assist in audits, owner inquiries, and special projects as needed.
