Shoot Smart is a family-operated establishment with multiple locations across the Metroplex. Since its inception in 2011, it has become the leading shooting range in Grand Prairie, dedicated to welcoming novice shooters and setting the standard in the shooting sports industry. Our team has successfully assisted over 750,000 target shooters, offering comprehensive gunsmithing services and a wide array of training courses, boasting more than 30,000 alumni. Our core values include being Helpful, Smart, Professional, Passionate, and Driven to Grow.

Availability: Candidates must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Work Hours: This role requires a full-time commitment of at least 32 hours per week, including weekends and certain holidays. While we strive to provide scheduling flexibility, weekend availability is essential. Please note that the facility will be closed on specific holidays.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Become proficient in operating the point of sale system while showcasing exceptional customer service.
  • Directly sell lane rentals, firearm rentals, shooting accessories, and retail products.
  • Guide customers through their experience, ensuring a safe and enjoyable time.
  • Uphold range safety and ensure adherence to all policies.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the range by completing assigned tasks promptly and efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
  • Knowledge of firearms and proficiency is advantageous.
  • NRA Range Safety Officer certification is required.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and strong persuasive abilities.
  • Proven experience in operating a cash register.
  • Experience or training in the safe handling, storage, and troubleshooting of firearms.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs or more and stand for extended periods.
  • Exhibit the five core values of Shoot Smart.

Supervision: This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities.
