Piping Construction Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and comprehend the project scope based on engineering plans and specifications.
  • Ensure familiarity with project submittals regarding equipment layout and verify that only authorized materials are utilized on-site.
  • Oversee the procurement of necessary piping and fittings for both shop and field fabrication.
  • Facilitate jobsite coordination with subcontractors engaged by BESCO-Engert.
  • Complete daily Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and assign work tasks to welders and fitters to guarantee timely project completion.
  • Maintain weekly communication with the General Superintendent to assess manpower requirements for the project.
  • Participate in weekly or bi-weekly site meetings with the Project Manager and the General Contractor's team, and coordinate material deliveries as the project progresses.
  • Conduct weekly safety toolbox talks with the crew assigned to the jobsite.
  • Ensure that appropriate tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) are available for employees to perform their tasks safely.
  • Maintain accurate as-built redlined drawings for project closeout documentation.
  • Effectively manage conflicts and crises in a calm and constructive manner as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to utilize hand tools and operate electric or battery-powered equipment.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. when necessary.
  • Comfortable with ascending and descending ladders and working from elevated platforms such as scissor lifts and scaffolding.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Proficient in managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and organize both individual and team activities.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively across various teams and levels within the organization, demonstrating initiative on projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
