Production Technician

Job Type: Full-time
Shifts Available:
- Day Shift: 7 AM - 7 PM (Monday to Thursday)
- Night Shift (Priority): 7 PM - 7 AM (Monday to Thursday)
Pay: Starting at $19.00/hour (Potential to increase to $21.00/hour)
Hours per Week: 36 - 48 hours
Production Technicians play a crucial role in our manufacturing process. As a Production Technician I - Process Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various machines, loading rolls of paper, and monitoring machine operations to ensure product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machines (coating, slitting, metalizing, or sheeting)
- Load rolls of paper onto machines and make necessary adjustments
- Monitor machine operations and product quality throughout the process
- Use overhead hoists, trucks, and dollies to transport materials
- Conduct tests to ensure products meet established specifications
- Identify and troubleshoot malfunctions and process issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow production schedules, work orders, and verbal instructions
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve production goals
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals)
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in English
- Forklift operation experience preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend safety policies and process documentation
- Previous experience in a fast-paced team environment preferred
- Familiarity with 5S or similar lean manufacturing principles is a plus
