Field Service Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at ABB. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing service tasks, identifying technical problems, and making analysis through remote or on-site activity in various service categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform service tasks, identify technical problems, and make analysis through remote or on-site activity in various service categories.
- Contribute to customer satisfaction by executing service work according to customer order and expectation.
- Coordinate, prepare, and ensure that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for service activities.
- Prepare all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative, reporting work done in a timely manner and following up when needed.
- Proactively identify potential equipment failures, request proactive corrective actions, and troubleshoot equipment failure and make recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future.
- Proactively identify suggestions for product and quality improvement and communicate them further in the ABB organization, providing recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service.
- Apply safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities, reporting unsafe practices and incidents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent military experience.
- Will consider High School Diploma/GED and 10 or more years' experience.
- Advanced level ability to interact and communicate (written and verbal) information to varying levels within the organization.
- Advanced level of ability to use Microsoft Office products.
- Moderate ability to self-Project Manage using MS Project or Excel.
- Advanced ability to write test plans and reports detailing test results.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
