Job Overview

Our 500 MW natural gas-fired combined cycle plant is seeking a skilled Production Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the support of the performance, operations, and maintenance of our plant, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient electric power generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain advanced 2X1 power block systems, ensuring safe and efficient electric power generation.
  • Conduct operator rounds, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks to enhance equipment longevity and prevent potential issues.
  • Work within a framework of stringent safety protocols and regulations, including FERC, EPA, EPD, OSHA, and DOT standards.
  • Collaborate with our team to achieve operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • 6 years of experience in operation or maintenance of an operating commercial power production facility.
  • Highly developed analytical and technical problem-solving background.
  • Valid driver's license, meeting Oglethorpe Power insurance requirements.
